5-Day Devotional "Make Up Your Mind"
Day 1 — Set Your Mind, Set Your Life
Romans 8:6 — “To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”
Proverbs 4:23 — “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
Devotional
Many people are treating symptoms while ignoring the root problem. We swing from cloud nine to rock bottom because our minds are not fixed. God shows us a powerful truth: if we can get our minds right, we can get our lives right.
You are a spirit being. God’s presence lives in your spirit, flows into your soul (mind, will, emotions), and then affects your body and your life. Everything starts with your thinking.
Your mind is the steering wheel of your life. Where it points, your life follows.
Today is the day to make a decision: I will set my mind on the Spirit.
ASK…
What thoughts have been steering your life lately?
Day 2 — The Danger of Indecision
James 1:8 — “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
Revelation 3:15-16 — “Because you are lukewarm… I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
Devotional
God doesn’t hate indecisiveness because He is harsh—He hates it because He loves us and wants us to live victoriously.
Indecisiveness leads to instability.
Instability produces insecurity.
Insecurity opens the door to fear.
Procrastination often hides behind indecision. It is the robe worn to cover double-mindedness. Many dreams never become reality—not because they weren’t imagined—but because no decision was made to act.
When your mind is made up, you move.
ASK…
Where has procrastination been disguising indecision in your life?
Day 3 — Pick a Lane
Philippians 4:8 — “Whatever is true… noble… right… pure… think about such things.”
Devotional
When you’re indecisive, you drive in every lane. And when you drive in every lane, eventually you crash.
A made-up mind picks a lane and stays in it.
Guard your ear gates. Not every voice deserves influence in your life. Not every opinion deserves space in your decision making. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, not the noise of the world.
What you listen to shapes how you think.
How you think shapes how you live.
ASK…
What voices do you need to limit or remove?
Day 4 — Renew Your Mind
Romans 12:2 — “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Philippians 2:5 — “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
Devotional
Transformation begins in the mind. Repentance is more than regret—it is a change of thinking.
When your mind is renewed, you begin to see life the way God sees it. You discern His will. You recognize His direction. You move when Christ moves.
A renewed mind produces a renewed life.
Today, choose to think differently.
ASK…
What thought patterns need to be surrendered to God?
Day 5 — Decide and Do It
Joshua 24:15 — “Choose this day whom you will serve.”
Devotional
If you’re going to serve Jesus—do it.
If you’re going to love your family—do it.
If you’re going to start that business—do it.
If you’re going to live holy—make up your mind and pay the price.
Indecisiveness keeps people stuck. A made-up mind moves forward.
Don’t regret it—go get it.
When your mind is fixed, your choices reflect it. Your life reflects it. Your future changes because of it.
Today is decision day.
ASK
What is one decision God has been prompting you to make?
